Saturday, April 11, 10am-12 noon: Frenchman's Creek Emergency Preparedness Training at Frenchman's Creek Park. Topics include Communications from Walkie-Talkie to Ham and ICS (Incident Command) Communications and Radio Net Operations. Bring your own chair and Midland* Walkie-Talkie fully charged.

Saturday, April 25, 2020, 9am-12 noon: Miramar Emergency Preparedness Event. Come join your neighbors to discuss emergency preparedness at the vacant field between 480 Alameda and 241 Mirada across from state park parking lot.

July 2020

Summer CERT Basic Training. Join us for free emergency preparedness training led by our local Fire Battalion Chief David Cosgrave. Summer CERT is our most concentrated basic training course - Graduate within 5 days!

    • Day 1 Wednesday, July 15 6-9pm

    • Day 2 Saturday, July 18 9am-5pm

    • Day 3 Sunday, July 19 9am-5pm

Fall CERT Basic Training. Join us for free emergency preparedness training led by our local Fire Battalion Chief David Cosgrave. You have two options:

  • Option 1: Wednesday + Saturdays

    • Day 1 Wednesday, September 16 6-9pm

    • Day 2 Saturday, September 19 9am-5pm

    • Day 3 Saturday, September 26 9am-5pm

OR

  • Option 2: Wednesday + Sundays

    • Day 1 Wednesday, September 16 6-9pm

    • Day 2 Sunday, September 20 9am-5pm

Saturday, January 11th, 2020, 9:30am: Medio-Alameda Block Meeting. Please join your West Miramar neighbors who live in the area around Medio-Alameda to discuss emergency preparedness in your neighborhood. The meeting will be at the Ebb Tide Cafe.

Wednesday, January 15, 2020: CPR Training. Coastside firefighters Chip Pickard and Tyler Strum are offering a CPR class at Moss Beach Fire Station 44, 5:00-6:45pm. Tuesday, January 28th, 2020, 7pm-9pm: PG&E Safety Presentation. Frank Fraone, PG&E Senior Public Safety Specialist (As Seen on TV) delivers his popular and immensely useful presentation on how not to get electrocuted by downed power lines and other handy safety pro tips plus the latest information from PG&E. Frank, a former Menlo Park Battalion Chief, teaches this fast-paced, news-you-can-use class and Q&A highlighting best responses to Coastside conditions. Saturday, February 1st, 2019, 10am - Noon: Frenchman's Creek Emergency Preparedness Training. This training happens on the first Saturday of each month at Frenchman's Creek Park. Bring your own chair! This session's topic is Building Your Preparedness Knowledge featuring Hands-only CPR and Bleeding Control. All Coastside residents welcome!
